What the ranges in this tool actually mean: Every benchmark range you see is the expected number for a player at your specific grade level who is on track to be recruited at that college level. These are not the averages of players currently on college rosters — they are development targets. Ranges for younger players are lower than for seniors because development is built into the model. For tiered levels (D2, JUCO, D3, NAIA), separate ranges apply for elite, standard, and developmental programs within that division. Elite JUCO and Elite NAIA are set at or near mid-major D1 standards, reflecting what those programs actually recruit.
